Contemporary Romance to Keep You Warm for the Holidays!

I always look forward to the holidays. There’s something about sipping a hot cup of cocoa and watching movies on the Hallmark channel, or listening to Christmas carols while trimming the tree that fills me up with tinsely cheer. It’s also one of my favorite times of year for reading. With the fireplace burning the yule log (or even just the fake flames from the electric plug in unit), I love to snuggle up under a hand-knit afghan and devour a tasty holiday romance. Who’s with me?

In the spirit of the holidays, I’m going to give you a little treat… a sneak peek at a few holiday contemporary romance novels I can’t wait to get my mittens on.

The Christmas Key – Lori Wilde There’s a legend in Twilight, Texas. If you sleep with a kismet cookie under your pillow on Christmas Eve, you will dream of your one true love.

I’ve been a fan of Lori Wilde’s Twilight, Texas series since the start so there’s no use trying to resist her newest addition. It’s a holiday-themed romance full of second chances, magic wishes and bright spirits.

Mistletoe in Texas – Kari Lynn Dell When a prodigal rodeo bullfighter suffers an injury and returns to his roots, he’s got to convince the woman he left behind to give him another chance. I’m a sucker for second chance romances, especially when they’re wrapped up in a package that looks a heck of a lot like a cowboy! Kari Lynn Dell is the real deal when it comes to writing cowboys and rodeo. I’m definitely adding this one to my list for Santa.

Hot Winter Nights – Jill Shalvis Ms. Shalvis herself says Heartbreaker Bay is what it would look like if Friends got mixed up with Sex and the City. It’s the perfect balance of humor and heat that will keep you giggling and warm you from the inside out. With a bad Santa case, a secret crush and a little forbidden romance, this one will keep you up reading long after Santa comes to fill the stockings.

A Virgin River Christmas – Robyn Carr Lucky for us, this one’s already out and at the top of my TBR pile! I’m bracing myself for all the feels with Roby Carr’s latest. A determined widow, a reclusive, emotionally wounded Marine… note to self… stock up on tissues before cracking the spine open. I’m always sucked into the Virgin River books. No wonder I keep going back to visit them over and over again! Secret Romeo - Victoria Pinder What would happen if you suddenly ran into your husband who'd you thought had been dead for over twenty years?

Set against the backdrop of Christmas, this story follows two people who--ripped apart once--might just be able to find their way back to each other.

Cowboy Christmas Jubilee by Dylann Crush

Is it tacky to add my own holiday book to the mix? LOL.

Warning... shameless plug ahead! If you're looking for humor, hijinks and holiday cheer, I hope you'll take a chance on Cowboy Christmas Jubilee.

Jinx Jacobs doesn't stay in one place for too long. But when her bike breaks down outside Holiday, Texas, she's forced to settle in until she can afford the repairs.

Deputy Sheriff Cash Walker is suspicious of the out-of-towner and very protective of his family and his heart. If the two of them can get past their pre-conceived notions of each other they might just tangle under the mistletoe and find their own Christmas cheer.

So there are a few contemporary romances I’ll be reading over the holidays. How about you? What holiday romance is at the top of your TBR pile?

Love, Dylann
